Take the point about the amount of time wasted re-finding stuff, and ordinary browser bookmarking simply isn't up to the task once you reach a certain level of complexity, but not completely convinced of the virtues of crowd-sourcing in this context – seems to be subject to the same caveats/problems as wikipedia. Sheer numbers are no real indicator of authority or accuracy.
