Aloha
Since SXSWi 2006 I have used JotSpot as a home for my personal wiki and blog. When Google announced that they would shut down the spot in January 09, I went in search of… home… and uber.la on WordPress was born in late November 2008.

"greetings and farewell"
I've got profiles all over this wacky web, so many I am actively working to find the best place and way to consolidate them. In the meantime, here is my new flavors.me page with all the links about me you'd ever care to browse.
About Uber the concept: Über or ueber comes from the German language. It is a cognate of both Latin super and Greek ὑπέρ (hyper). So I guess that means Super-Hyper.
In one of my favorite teams at Dell Global Online we began referring to the next big project as UBER. Ultimately the project became better known as RSSP. A funny thing was RSSP was often confused with RSS, so you had to say the "P" really definitively. As in RSS-P. My mentor came up with the internal brand and probably saved her team's coherence for another quarter.
The team continued to refer to many things as uber-this or uber-that, the uber-project. And it just stuck with me. Uber meant everything, anything, the biggest, the baddest, the coolest, the save-yr-butt project. Add "la" to the end and you've got the biggest, baddest paradise ever imagined. And to go even further, there is now even an uber.uber.la, a place where the next magical villages are being formed.
Uber.la is my future destination, a mythical place I am hoping to enjoy with fellow travelers or seekers. I will always be arriving at uber.la, because I can never quite sustain the patience to sit still. But I will aspire to "continuously arrive @ patience" with you, as you sit by the reflecting pool and enjoy a cup of tea and perhaps some thoughtful conversation.
Perhaps we will share only silence and the awareness that your path crossed by this little corner, my little corner, of the web.
Greetings and farewell fellow seeker.
