FOR IMMEDIATE RE-RELEASE
January 5, 2010, CES Las Vegas
Move over Web 2.0 (pronounced two-dot-oh) the iSlate iPad from Apple will be rolling at 2.0 version within weeks of launching version 1.0. When asked for a comment, Steve Jobs tweeted, "We've been working on our two-dot-oh chops for some time. –Pardon my speling, sent from my iPhone G3-s"
While the v1 of the massively popular iSlate iPad relies on a touchscreen, the v2 iSlate will reportedly mind read the person holding the device. First noticed in the iTunes/iPhone app store, makers of the Stroke Me, Stroke Me app accidentally published their iSlate iPad v2 app, iSlave, yesterday, just hours after the opening keynote address at CES 2010 in Las Vegas.
The iSlate iPad app, from WhappMeUpsideTheHeadOnce.com, was accidentally previewed with screenshots of the new mind-meld ™ technology from Apple and SpockLite LLC. Once thought to be years away, mind-computing seems well within our grasp this year, if Steve Jobs and company have anything to do with it.
One unnamed Apple developer commented on the iSlave app blog before it was deleted, "It's kind of a party trick really. We used to do this stuff with the Mac team back in 1989. You should have seen our NEXT-mind software. That was the core of the IP behind mind-meld ™."
Once a user has imprinted with their new iSlate iPad v2, the machine begins to anticipate your needs and desires with more and more accuracy. An anonymous customer (only identified as Bill G) on the iSlave app page that was uncovered had this to say, "I don't need to tell you that the opportunities for this are huge. I mean touch is one thing, but mind… I kept finding myself saying, 'My gosh, did I just say that or merely think that.' At least I think I was saying it."
The old Apple ad campaign "THINK DIFFERENT" is said to be under redevelopment.
One CES attendee said, "The I'm a Mac. I'm a PC thing was getting old."
No word on when the new mind-enabled OS would ship, and Apple had no comment on the story. Return visits to the Apple iPhone store and the internet site of the iSlave app developer were not recoverable or reproducible.
"The v2 is coming, almost before v1," Jobs reportedly said at an emergency shareholders meeting late Monday night. "We're not supposed to tell people that kind of stuff. We don't want to slow down their purchases now, waiting for what's next."
No word if the mind-OS, dubbed Apple OS-M, would be available for the Mac or the traditional iPhone platform.
