Yes, America, AI is coming for your jobs.
Time to wake up.

I don’t have a lot of respect for ai creativity. I think it’s a powerful tool. It enabled me an one other writer to complete a 2,000+ page website in under six months. Thanks ChatGPT. But today, AI is getting in everyone’s business. I’m making some moves, exposing some ideas, and going after some differences between AI-generated and Human-generated art, music, and writing. See: An Open Letter to Taylor Swift, “You’re our only hope.”

Here’s the entire album on Soundcloud.

Today, I launched Taylorsversion.ai < my new collection of ai-generated demos for Taylor Swifts’s announced album The Tortured Poets Department. (I’m not sure she thought that title through before announcing it, look for that to change.” Here’s the page graphic.

For $100 a year, I can produce and release approximately 500 songs a month using Suno.

I’m going to submit them to Spotify and YouTube for release. There is currently ZERO restrictions on ai-generated music, text, or art. So, you too can take my prompt songs and create your own versions variations examples of awesome ai-trickery.

I produced a website mcelhenneybrothers.com completely from false information provided by ChatGPT and other AI systems. I defined “ai hallucination” here on my YouTube video. about the site and phenomenon we’ve all been hearing about.

But wait, there’s more. I have been writing about AI and creativity a lot.

AI art.

  2. ART? What is it? Why is it? Does *ai* understand “art”?

Just Another Tool

AI is changing the employment landscape dramatically. The demand for writers and creative artists of all types had been gutted by AI, as large companies believe they can harness ChatGPT to handle 100% of it’s customer service requests. (This will eliminate India’s massive phone support economy. Newspapers, ad agencies, and media companies are going to spend a lot less on graphic design and illustration, as AI can do it quickly, without pushback or complaints, and at very little cost. As creatives, it is time to understand what is happening in AI and begin to standup and fight back.

We need HUMAN-GENERATED art to make a comeback. I don’t like the Taylor Swift demo songs created by clever prompts. I don’t like what it means for music in general, and for actual humans creating music trying to get a track to compete with hundreds of ai-clones of past hits. It’s going to get messy real quick, as my Taylorsversion.ai demonstrates.

AI without human guidance and editing is like clipart was to design. Clipart didn’t kill graphic design. AI-generated art might just have eliminated an entire creative career track. What do you think? How can we dial back the attention on corporate ai and give a little light and air to the AI Creative War?

AI Creative War

If we’re going to fight back, we need to coordinate our efforts. The musical licensing companies only care about their big artists. The movie studio and writer’s strikes pushed back on movies. But AI is hitting on all fronts, in all industries. Personally, I’m interested in exploring the future of creative careers that go beyond PROMPT PILOT or PROMPT ENGINEER.

I’ve worked alongside an AI for months. I’ve generated thousands of pages of copy and summaries from AI for a global tech company. I will continue to harness AI for my work, and my client’s work, but I want to fire up the conversation about creativity and where HUMANS > AI in every aspect.

But, today we’ve also got to deal with industry-leading artists like Taylor Swift. Her platform is so large she’s influencing elections, she’s a recently minted billionaire, and her Spotify streams cover over 50% of all streams in 2023. And Taylor has the power to drive change in the music business. Will she? Probably not. Could she? Absolutely. Here’s my RadioRed.io proposal to Taylor and her father.
